Chef Yannick Alleno is coming to Orchid for a special event with his former student Chef Gildas

Earlier this week, Michelin has published its 2019 guide for France. There are 632 magnificent restaurants selected to represent the best of the best. With our highest respect, Orchid applauses to all the restaurants and Chefs recognized this year. We would specially give our congratulation to Chef Yannick Alleno. Chef Yannick’s restaurants, Ledoyen, Le 1947, and L’Abyssee, without a doubt, are all listed in the Michelin guide this year. Ledoyen and Le 1947 continuously received the highest three star rating, which is awarded to restaurant with perfection in every detail. Orchid, with great honor, is excited to announce that Chef Yannick Alleno will do a special event with our head chef, Chef Gildas Perin to recreate some of the iconic dishes from the legendary Michelin Three Starred restaurant, Pavilion Ledoyen. Orchid, with great honor, will collaborate with WUJEI, a Michelin starred vegetarian restaurant from Shanghai, for a four-day special event from September 13th to September 16th. Competition encourages innovation. Orchid has set up a series of exciting food challenges and invited chefs from all over the world to participate to celebrate local Taiwan produce. We are happy to announce that our very first challenge will take place on August 4th and 5th. The theme is seafood. Chef Gildas Perin will reconstruct some classic French dishes and transform them into new flavors. Chef Daniel Negreira Bercero, on the other hand, will tackle with a feast from Spain.
